Shane McMillan | Director | Sales

Shane entered Salesoft as the Training Manager from a background in Civil, Mechanical and Architectural design. His broad domain knowledge in these disciplines has enabled him to find instant rapport with business clients as he transitioned to the role of Sales Manager and now Director and CEO.

As a trusted advisor, Shane can walk a customer through the complexity of software choices, evolving hardware and support services so that the customer is confident about moving forward. In keeping with Salesoft’s commitment to customers for life, he values loyalty and communication with customers over the long term.

Shane cares about people which is reflected in his community/volunteer work outside of the office.

Peter Ostrowski

Peter Ostrowski [B.S., B.Arch. GDipDM] | Sales Manager

Originally from Detroit, Peter immigrated to New Zealand in 1995 and joined the Autodesk Product Sales Team in March 2010. His design expertise is broad and deep; from Architecture and Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Graphic Arts, Forensics, General Computational Graphics to Value Engineering, GIS/CAFM and Oracle Information Systems management. He also has experience in Project Management and project and logistics planning – more commonly referred to as 4D BIM.

Peter’s documentation and visualisation expertise are well suited to the needs of Salesoft’s Autodesk BIM product and design methodologies focus. He’s also certified as an instructor in a wide variety of CAD/CAM technologies, most importantly in Autodesk’s AutoCAD and Revit technologies. Peter has also been heavily involved with various training institutions both in the United States and New Zealand, where he helped establish the Autodesk Training Centre and ‘Train the Trainer’ initiative at Unitec.

Peter is a certified residential energy auditor and member of the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC), which bodes well with Autodesk’s building sustainability initiatives. He’s also been very involved with historic building conservation/preservation and restoration. His domain knowledge, skills and expertise along with his architectural background, ideally place Salesoft to help its clients adopt new and emerging technologies.

Chris Rowson

Chris Rowson [BA Business Hons] | Sales Consultant

Chris is originally from Hull - Yorkshire, England he emigrated to NZ in 2008 and joined the Salesoft team in Nov 2013.  In the past he has worked as an Architectural/CAD Technician for construction and design companies both in the UK & New Zealand.  His friendly no nonsense approach quickly gets results and satisfaction for Salesoft customers.  During his time as a Architectural/CAD Technician he has used various CAD packages.  He specializes in Autodesk Revit but handles sales in a wide range of products.

Outside of work he enjoys sport, travel and all things natural.  He has travelled South America, USA, South East Asia & Oceania.  He plays football and frequently practices Yoga he has also recently started practicing Krav Maga. 

 

Rich Sales

Rich Sales [BArch Hons] | Senior Support Consultant

After completing his final year at Wanganui High School, Rich headed to Auckland University, subsequently graduating from the School of Architecture with his degree in 1970. He joined Ray Woolford Architects before going into private practise as Rich Sales Architects in 1976. The practise won awards for Commercial Architecture including the Carter Holt Pavilion, Auckland Showgrounds and for Residential including Sainsbury Retreat at Hatfields Beach.

A successful architect in his own right, Rich quickly became a passionate advocate for the early adoption of Computer Aided Design (CAD), in the architectural design process. His expertise in the use and application of this tool for creating architectural designs, became the catalyst for eventually switching his architectural business into a Computer Design Consultancy. Salesoft CAD Solutions was born in 1988.

Rich has a strong strategic perspective and an inherent passion for the NZ Building Industry. He has continued to specialise in advising, training and assisting design practices throughout New Zealand with the implementation of CAD and developing Best Practice CAD methods and procedures.

Julia

Julia Anderson | Administration & Marketing

As the administration and marketing person for the past 13 years,  Julia has quite a varied role. She admits Salesoft presented her with a steep learning curve, as she didn’t come from a CAD background. She credits the Salesoft Essentials AutoCAD training course with helping her gain a deeper understanding of what the firm and the industry was all about.

Apart from general accounting duties, looking after the many students who pass through the Salesoft Autodesk training courses and generally ensuring the office runs reasonably smoothly, Julia also puts together the SalesTALK! newsletter and works in conjunction with Rich to create seminars and product launches. Julia enjoys gardening, walking and philosophical pursuits outside of Salesoft.

Deborah

Deborah Geisler |Subscriptions Manager

 As subscriptions manager for the last year, Deborah gets to know Salesoft’s clients very well particularly, when it comes time to fathom the Autodesk software subscription renewal process.

 “I’m a real people person so I love engaging with our clients and learning about how their business operates. It’s important to me, that I help them improve their interaction with the Autodesk subscription centre. I achieve this by smoothing the subscription renewal process and updating records regarding subscriptions and their assets.”
